Our Adoptable Dogs
Along with your new companion animal, your adoption will include:
- Pre-adoption physical examination
- Heartworm test
- Rabies vaccination (for canines 12 weeks and older)
- Distemper/Parvo vaccine
- Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine
- Treatment for internal parasites
We make every attempt to keep this list current, but these dogs are not guaranteed to be available. In addition, there may be other adoptable dogs at the shelter. To meet any of our animals, call us at 561-482-8110 or visit our shelter at 21287 Boca Rio Road in Boca Raton, FL.

Hi, I'm 'Puppy Breath', but I'm hoping for a new name along with a new home! I'm here to remind you that Tri-County Humane Society always has dozens of adorable pups and kittens here for you to adopt, so don't go to a pet store! We are wonderful, healthy little furballs who may not have a pedigree, but are full of love and smiles just waiting to be shared. Our shelter offers dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, colors, shapes and dispositions, and even some purebreds, too. We all have our own unique personalities and are waiting for our forever homes where we can feel safe and loved.

We're ready to become your best friend, and you will know you have rescued not only us, but the animal who will take our place here when we get to go HOME. Our no-kill shelter saves as many pets as possible but we need your help. So whatever you're looking for, if it has fur and a tail, we have it! | CATAHOULA/HOUND MIX • 2 year-old Female. Almost housebroken but not yet spayed. 60 lbs. You may not notice me as you pass my cage because I'm very shy and often stay in the back where I feel safer. I was brought here as a pregnant stray and I had some cute puppies who have all found homes. They came into the world without the fears that I've collected from a life on the streets. I'm learning from the volunteers and staff here that I can trust people, but I'd like a real home and some consistent love. I get along fine with older, gentle kids and with cats and other dogs. I'm a pretty, brindled-faced girl who just needs a bit of TLC. Got some to spare? |

I jump and bark in my cage, but I am only trying to get your attention and get out of here. Once outside, I am well mannered. I walk nicely on a leash, am housebroken, and even know 'sit' and 'lay down'. I love belly rubs and the people who give them! I get along well with kids and other dogs (cats, unknown), but I cannot be left alone in a yard because I'm quite athletic and can jump fences. No one here knows my past and I'm not talking (it's best left behind!), but they suspect I was badly abused by someone. I am EXTREMELY frightened of people and yet never aggressive. I allow the staff and some volunteers to walk me but I stay very tense and barely even accept affection. They are working with me on my trust issues, but a patient and kind person to love me and a quiet home of my own would be much better for me to make progress. I am very well house-trained, quiet and sweet and about 45 lbs. I think I need a quiet and calm home, probably without kids, cats or other dogs. | TERRIER/WHIPPET MIX • 5 month-old Female. Housebroken and spayed. 15 lbs. I'm a SURVIVOR! My name is Corinna and I'm a wonderful little dog with a heart full of love to share. They are calling me a 'special needs' dog here, but I really don't feel that I need anything more than any other dog. I just want love and kindness, and a happy home to live and play in. I've had a rough start to my young life as I contracted distemper along with all my siblings. I was the only survivor of the litter, unfortunately. I'm recovered now and not contagious at all. I play happily here with other dogs and I can live with cats and kids, too. I'm really cute and trying to grow into these GIANT ears but that's not happening! I do have a slight muscle twitch, like a spasm, every few seconds as a result of my illness. It is very slight and doesn't require any medical care or treatment and it never stops me from being happy, active, sweet, and super affectionate. I've come so far, and now I'm just waiting patiently for that special someone who will love me and take me HOME. My slight disability does not bother me, so don't let it bother you. Be my HERO! |
COCKER SPANIELS • 10 years-old Male & Female. Hello there! We're Becky and Nelson, two sweet and calm dogs who need your kindness. (Becky...tan female, Nelson...brown male). We were born, raised and spent our whole lives in a wonderful home with our human mom but she passed away recently. We are a bit sad and overwhelmed to suddenly have our lives change so drastically. Though we are well cared for here, we really long for a second home and the calm and security it offers. We're about 30 lbs. each and can live with other dogs, cats, and kind children. At this point in our lives, we really deserve a comfortable home and a loving touch. It would be great if we can stay together, but we will split up if need be.
