Snickers Got His Surgery with Your Help!
With the generous help of our supporters, Tri County raised all the money and then some for "Snickers", the little 3 month-old, 2-lb Chihuahua who was abandoned at our gate. Dr. Larry Dee of Hollywood Animal Hospital did the surgery, and Snickers is doing fine. He will be staying at Clint Moore Animal Hospital for a couple of weeks for therapy.
When we found him and brought Snickers inside the shelter, we noticed he could not walk or use his front leg. We immediately rushed him to Clint Moore Animal Hospital to see Dr. Butzer. After doing X-Rays, Dr. Butzer told us his front leg was shattered. He needed surgery by a specialist or his little leg would have to be amputated. As everyone knows with the economy, Tri County just did not have the money to do the surgery, which cost at half price $1700. With the help of our supporters and many people in the community, Tri County was able to raise the money to save this little guy's leg.
